Moxibustion is a chinese therapy which consists of burning dried moxa stick on particular regions and points on the body.

Moxa is usually made from dried leaf of chinese Mugwort.

Practitioners generally hold a burning moxa stick close to the surface of the skin but not touch.

practitioners use moxa to warm regions and acupuncture points to stimulating circulation through the point and including a smoother flow of blood and qi.

Moxibustion has been studied for the treatment of pain.
